To transfer a domain to another registrar, there are steps that you need to take on our end, and steps that you need to take with your new registrar.
Steps you need to take on our end:
- From your domain list, select the domain you'd like to transfer away and click 'Manage Domain' or click on the selection of the domain.
- Find the 'Manage' tab in the left and click 'Registrar Lock'.
- On the 'Registrar Lock' page, ensure that the transfer lock for your domain is NOT enabled.
- Find the 'Get EPP Code' link on the 'Manage' tab in the left.
- Copy the authorization code you can find on this page.
The rest of the process takes place on the interface of your new registrar. You'll need to give them the authorization code.
Depending on the domain you registered, we may send you an email to authorize the transfer before we transfer control over the domain to your new registrar. Most transfers complete automatically in about a week. When a transfer takes longer than two weeks, it may time out.
